Charleston SC is a year-round cycling destination with historical and coastal views of South Carolina's Low Country. In the last few years, Charleston has boomed in growth with lots of new resturants and cafe stops, providing for some great coffee rides. If you are looking to get some miles in, Charleston is also close to the Francis Marion National Forest. This area provides local cyclists with low traffic road and gravel riding options that are still close to the city's hotels, beaches and other attractions.
I am originally from Colorado and have also lived in California and Michigan. I've been living in Charleston SC for over 5 years and have been cycling for 15 years. I am the father of two young boys and also passionate about photography.

Favorite ride In Charleston would be a mix of riding downtown and Sullivans / Isle of The Palms. Although there is a far amount of traffic this route gives people the most of the local area. Views and riding of the Ravenel suspension bridge, Hampton Park, The Battery, Rainbow Row, Historic Charleston Streets an then beach and Island views with historic civil war Fort Moultrie on Sullivans Island
