A retired road and mountain bike professional, I now serve as the founder and Event Director for the "Crusher in the Tushar", a mixed-sufrace event held every July in the nearby Tushar Mountains.
I feel extremely fortunate to have seen a lot of the world aboard my bike, but for my money, there's no place I've been that can hold a candle to Utah. Let me show you around my nape of the woods and I promise you a ride you'll remember for the rest of your life. I am able to guide in a variety of locations in Central and Southern Utah including Cedar Breaks and the Zion, Bryce and Capitol Reef National Park areas and more.
I can also guide hiking and flyfishing excursions, so if you're looking for more than just a bike ride, I'm your guy!
Due to my work as Adobe's Head of Experiential Marketing, I have had the opportunity to work closely with a lot of cycling guides and tour companies, and Burke is at the top of my list of most amazing and impressive guides. One of the greatest attributes I value most about Burke is his true authenticity. He deeply cares about his clients and genuinely wants to do everything he can to create a magical experience for them. I also love his sense of adventure and ability to find true gems of routes and experiences that are so much more memorable and enjoyable than the status quo. He also nails all of the other skills like: attention to detail, safety, professionalism, communications, and quality of event. Not to mention, he has a wickedly cool iTunes playlist.
I'd have a really hard time picking just one favorite ride in Utah. I love rides that get me up into the mountains where I can find solitude and drink -in the sights, smells and sounds that make Utah a place like no other. Make it a mix of tarmac, dirt and gravel and throw-in one of Utah's endles mountain-top vistas and you might get an idea of what my "favorite" ride looks like.
I'm a life-long resident of Utah and have spent my life searching every road, trail and goat path I can find in this great state. Currently I call Cedar City home, which I've found to be the perfect hub for accessing everything from the redrock canyons of Zion, Bryce and Capitol Reef National Parks, to the high alpine peaks of the nearby Tushar Mountains. When I'm not on my bike, you'll likely find me standing in a stream with my flyrod, angling to convince a Brown Trout that a hook with some feathers and fur on it is quite delicious.
