Former Professional cyclist with Garmin Chipotle First Solar and Team3M in Belgium. I have lived overseas and traveled the U.S.A racing the domestic NRC circuit. I now live in Vail, Colorado where I have a flexible work schedule to ride my bike. Plenty of knowledge of the local riding terrain.
Had an awesome ride with Alister doing the Walcott Divide. He showed me some roads I had never been on despite knowing the area so well. He rode at my pace and was extremely accommodating. No pressure and felt great the whole ride. Topped off the ride with an awesome cafe stop and some great conversation. Alister was great and I look forward to riding with him again. If you are in the Vail valley, hit up Alister!
While Vail Pass is almost an essential ride in the valley, it is often filled with many tourists trying to take in the breathtaking scenery. I would skip the pass and ride up Cordillera. A beautiful climb on nicely paved tarmac in a quiet area of the valley!
I'm an experienced bike racer who has done plenty of group rides of all levels throughout my lifetime. I first went to Mallorca Spain when I was 15 years old and fell in love with the bike.
