Welcome to (yeah THAT) Greenville, the city becoming known as "little Boulder", and one of the up and coming cycling destinations in the world. My beautiful hometown is earning the accolades of The NY Times and Forbes, but what you REALLY want is to ride like a local. Venture with me into the gorgeous, quiet roads of Northern Greenville County and across the State line into North Carolina. I'll show you the best side of Greenville, the one seen on two wheels.
Most of my routes leave from Furman University campus, because it's just that beautiful, and it's the perfect place to start your experience. If you prefer to leave from downtown or Hotel Domestique, we can certainly do that, just choose "Guide's Choice" or reach out to the awesome folks at VeloGuide and tell them what you're looking for. If your ideal date and route aren't shown, please take a moment to ask, most of the time we can make it happen for you.
When you ride with me, you're riding with a local. I grew up in Greenville, have lived all over the US, and returned to raise my family in this amazing city. You'll learn the best cycling roads our area has to offer, and you just might meet the friendliest animals too! Word on the street has it I'm a llama whisperer, but you'll have to come along for a ride to find out if it's true.
Let's ride! Cheers!
Had a great ride with Meredith, AKA the Lama Whisperer! Super cool person and strong rider. She led us on a 75km ride in the country. Saw some cattle, farms and of course the Lama! Highly recommended!
1. Booking was seamless – easy, no glitches – only slight thing was confusion on being charged for bike rental up front. It would be great if that was an opt-in choice. 2.Got confirmation right away from Lauri with Meredith cc’d so I had her contact info.
My favorite ride leaves from Furman University, and traverses the beautiful rolling hills toward Hotel Domestique. Along the way, near our turn around point, we'll visit Hayes Star Ranch, which is guaranteed to become one of your favorite roads ever. The views, the animals and the feeling you get as you crest the first hill on this particular road are indescribable.
I love to climb, and our area offers plenty of rolling hills and punchy climbs to get your heart pumping and your legs working. Join me and find out why riding in Greenville will be some of the best road cycling you'll ever do!
I have been a cyclist for over fifteen years, and a competitive triathlete for four years. I am happiest when I am on my bike and I love sharing the joy of cycling and the beauty of our area with locals and visitors. As a Trek Women's Advocate, I am passionate about getting more women on bikes and teaching women how to ride stronger and how to have more fun and confidence on the bike. For me, when I am on my bike, I am my best self.
You've never met a bike guide like me. I'll have you saying hi to all the local animals, learning the dialect of local South Carolinians, and by the time we're done, you'll be trying to find a way to move here.
Come experience life on two wheels with me. We'll have fun, we'll climb some mountains, and you'll leave a happier person!
