Meet Matt

San Francisco, United States of America

I raced on the MIT collegiate cycling team as an undergraduate, and then ended up working at Strava as a data scientist. I built features for the heatmap, as well as a bunch of Strava Segment related infrastructure. I raced a few years with the local SquadraSF team, the highlight of which was the US National Time Trial championship. I also worked briefly as a cycle guide with the outfit Global Cycle Rides, where I designed a few local routes. I've got first aid experience and am very comfortable touring people around my favorite local spots.

My Favorite Ride

More ABout Matt

One really good short ride in San Francisco is the classic "Hawk Hill" ride - it travels across the Golden Gate Bridge into the nearby Marin Headlands, and climbs up a scenic lookup with a great view over the city. Another great ride (slightly longer) is the Seven Sisters ride over the Mt. Tam ridge. San Francisco is a fantastic city for riding with lots of adventures in every direction!
