I am an avid cyclist and former professional triathlete. I competed in the 1989, 1990, and 1992 Ironman World Championship in Kona, Hawaii and raced as a USCF cyclist upon my retirement from triathlons. In April 2016 I completed a 24-day solo cycling trip from San Diego, CA to St. Augustine, FL (see www.grizzlygregg.com). During the ride my wife and I raised money to provide educational opportunities for at-risk youth.
In March 2016 I retired from a career in High Technology and my wife and I have made our home in Lake Tahoe since 2013. We enjoy all the winter and summer activities that Lake Tahoe has to offer.
In Lake Tahoe we have many options for world class rides with terrific scenery and fresh mountain air. My favorite ride is to climb Ebbetts Pass (8,730') and enjoy the sweeping views of the Sierra Nevada Mountains.
