My name is Dustin Bessette and I absolutely love the outdoors. I have been cycling for over 10 years, I have competed in many types of cycling races including road, mountain biking races, and triathlons. I am 30, live in New York City, and love riding to explore new areas, meet new people, and have an adventure!
Come book a trip with me!
I met Dustin in NYC, he took me on a Central Park Ride and then other places around the city, one of my best memories ever! He’s become a great friend and I am coming to NYC again this summer obviusly will book him again! He is very culture so you can have great conversations with him about everything!
He is awesome and fun!!!!! The best ride in my life!!!! He knows about history and he know all the routes!!!!!!!!
I got to meet and ride with Dustin at the Hincapie Gran Fondo in South Carolina. Great advocate for all things bike! Looking forward to riding with him soon in New York!
One of my favorite rides is centered around the Berkshires and into the tri-state area of NY state. The ride can start from a number of places; typically I start at the White Hart Inn in Salisbury, CT or at the Stagecoach Tavern in Sheffield, MA. The ride is around the Berkshire mountain range that circumnavigates around state parks, open roads, and most of all ends at some of the best restaurants in the area. The ride can be from 45-60 miles with 2500 feet of climbing and is picturesque all the way. Come join me for a beautiful ride in upstate NY western MA!
I just love being on the open road on a bike and having the skill to know how to push myself to the next level. I ride many disciplines: road, cx, mtn, and fat- yes fat is a disipline. I have been riding road bikes for about 10 years now and picked up all the others over the years. One of the first group/teams that I used to ride with was Berkshire Bike & Board out of Great Barrington, MA back in my early 20's. I started off doing triathlons in my late teens and still compete today. I am not a coffee drinker but on my routes adn tours, there are plenty of shops to stop at so I will always make an exception for those who like coffee or even pastries.
I also love backpacking, bikepacking, and backcountry camping. When I lived in Oregon a few years ago, I was featured in a bikepacking video for Oregon Scenic Bikeways. If you haven't gone bikepacking, please inquire and come camp with me. I am very keen on planning some big long and short bikecamping trips with fat, gravel and road bikes in some scenic parts of the US. Check out the video I was featured in below:
