Dennis has ridden with Bici Bucerias and VeloGuide on a few occasions as a customer. He is super fun guy to ride with and a cycling enthusiast!
My favorite ride is a steady tempo ride from Woodstock (Illinois) around Geneva Lake (Wisconsin) with a stop for coffee in Fontana, Lake Geneva, or back at the historic Woodstock square. It's a 60 mile ride with 2,400 feet of climbing. Most of the route is through flat to slightly rolling farmland. The notable climbing occurs on short, steep hills along the lakeshore with grades over 11%.
My posted routes include a short ride around Geneva Lake, which is approximately 25 miles and 1,750 feet of climbing. For those short on time or desiring a less strenuous ride, the route can be shortened to around 20 miles and 1,150 feet of climbing. The route can be expanded as desired. I've posted an expanded route around the lake which is 40 miles and adds riding south to the Illinois stateline and then to the north along the south shore of Lake Delavan. The posted routes both start in Lake Geneva as that is the location of most of the resort hotels, but they can be modified to start in Fontana, Williams Bay, or Lake Delavan.
